TERMS OF SERVICE

Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of RPGX Proton and the RPGX AI Assistant Foundry module ("the Software"), developed and maintained by RPGX Studios. By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms.

License and Access

Subscription License Active Patreon subscribers receive a license to use the current version of RPGX applications and all updates released during their active subscription period. Access is tied to an active subscription. If your subscription lapses, access to premium features will be suspended until the subscription is renewed.

One-Time Purchase License One-time purchase keys grant a permanent license to the version of RPGX applications current at the time of purchase, plus any minor updates within that major version. One-time licenses do not include future major version upgrades.

Free Tier

The RPGX AI Assistant Foundry module is free to use and is available through the Foundry VTT package registry. No license is required for its base functionality.

Permitted Use

You may:

Install and use the Software on your personal machines
Use the Software for personal or commercial game sessions
Share the Software's outputs (AI responses, knowledge base content) freely

You may not:

Redistribute, resell, or share your license key with others
Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Software for redistribution
Use the Software to develop a competing product without express written permission

The Software and Your Data

RPGX Proton runs entirely on your local hardware. Your campaign data, AI queries, and Foundry content never leave your machine. RPGX Studios has no access to your local data and accepts no responsibility for its content.

You are solely responsible for the content you feed into the knowledge base and the outputs generated by your locally-running AI models. RPGX Studios does not control, monitor, or moderate AI-generated content produced on your machine.

Third-Party Software

RPGX Proton integrates with the following third-party tools:

Ollama — a free, open-source local AI inference tool. Subject to its own license terms.
Foundry VTT — a virtual tabletop platform. Subject to its own license terms.

RPGX Studios is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for these third-party tools.

Availability and Updates

We aim to maintain and update the Software but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice to subscribers. Subscription pricing may change with at least 30 days notice to active subscribers.

Limitation of Liability

The Software is provided "as is." RPGX Studios makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RPGX Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Software.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify active subscribers of material changes.
