So What Is It?
If you've ever run a campaign, you know the pain. Quests scribbled in notebooks. Players asking, "Wait, what were we supposed to do again?" Rewards that never got handed out. XP split wrong at 11 pm when everyone's tired. NPC quest-givers you can barely remember making.
RPGX Quest Log fixes all of that inside Foundry VTT.
It's a full quest management system — GM-facing, player-facing, and deeply integrated into the RPGX ecosystem you already know. No third-party websites, no spreadsheets, no paper. Everything lives in your world, where it belongs.

What Can It Do?
Here's a taste of what's waiting for you:
📜 Complete Quest Tracking: Create quests with full player-facing descriptions and private GM Notes. Everything is tabbed and organized — Active, Completed, Failed, and Abandoned. Your whole campaign's story, right there in one window.

🎭 Drag-and-Drop Everything: Drop actors straight from your scene as Quest Givers. Drop your party members as assignees. Drop items directly from your world as loot rewards. It all just works.
🏆 Milestone System: Break big quests into objectives. Mark them complete, failed, or pending as your session unfolds. Reveal milestones to your players when the time is right — or keep them hidden until the dramatic moment.

💰 Automatic Reward Distribution Set XP, Gold, Silver, Copper — even custom currencies for your homebrew world. Hit one button, and the module splits it evenly across your party and transfers it directly to their character sheets. It even handles the leftover copper by giving it to the first character in the list (your "party treasurer"). Items get assigned per character and transferred straight to the inventory.

🎲 Player View Built-In Players see their own quests automatically — only the ones their characters are assigned to. No spoilers, no GM screen-sharing accidents, no extra setup. The module handles it.
🖱️ One-Click Status Changes: Click the status icon on any quest row to instantly change it. No opening the sheet. No menus to dig through. Active → Completed → Failed → Abandoned in a single click.

And Then There's the RPGX Ecosystem.
This is where things get really exciting.
RPGX Quest Log is built from the ground up to work with RPGX Proton and RPGX AI Assistant — and the integration goes deep.

🤖 AI Quest Generation (via Proton + Ollama)
Subscription members with RPGX Proton running get access to the built-in AI Quest Generator. Type a premise — or leave it blank for a surprise — hit Generate, and watch your local Ollama model write you a complete quest: evocative player-facing description, GM notes, a plot twist, encounter suggestions, and campaign hooks.
All local. All private. No API keys. No subscriptions to a cloud AI service. Just your machine, your model, your story.
📚 RPGX AI Assistant — Now Quest-Aware
Here's the big news for AI Assistant users: we've updated RPGX AI Assistant to ingest quests directly into the RAG server.
That means your AI now knows about your quests. It knows what's active, who's involved, what the rewards are, and what the GM's secret plot is. When your players ask the AI a lore question mid-session, it can answer with full awareness of where they are in the story. The whole RPGX ecosystem is starting to talk to itself — and this is just the beginning of what that makes possible.

🔗 Proton Bridge — Full Remote Support
Whether your Foundry server is running on your own machine, on a home LAN, or on a remote VPS somewhere, RPGX Quest Log and Proton stay connected. The module communicates over Foundry's own WebSocket, the same one your players already use. No port forwarding. No VPN. No extra networking headaches.
Free vs. Pro — Here's the Deal
RPGX Quest Log is free to install and use. Always will be. Free tier users get up to 10 quests per world, full quest tracking, all the player/GM features, rewards, milestones — the whole organizational system.
Pro features (AI generation, unlimited quests, and full Proton integration) are unlocked by having RPGX Proton running with an active Patreon subscription. Proton is the key. No license codes to paste, no complicated setup — if Proton is running and your sub is active, everything just works.
